Our commitment to responsible gaming
It’s important to us that our prize draws and raffles are a fun way for you to support Hospiscare, and that they never have a detrimental effect.
It is unlikely that you find yourself here because of an addiction problem caused by lotteries, but if you are susceptible to gambling addiction, we suggest you look at alternative ways to support Hospiscare, such as making a Regular Gift.
We are committed to operating our weekly lotteries and raffles in a socially responsible way. We want them to be fun to play whilst raising essential charitable funds, but not in a way that is detrimental to the vulnerable and people with a history of problem gambling. Whilst the majority of people do gamble within their means, for some, gambling can become a problem. It may help you to keep control by remembering the following:
- Lotteries should be entertaining and a fun way to support the charity and not seen as a way of making money
- Avoid chasing losses
- Only spend what you can afford and without the expectation of winning
- A copy of our Social Responsibility Policy is available by request from lottery@hospiscare.co.uk
People under the age of 18 are not permitted to play our lottery
